“This project belongs to the Local Authorities and to the citizens of the area. From our side, we will implement it with a sense of responsibility and consistency, aiming at the effective management of waste, the recovery of valuable recyclable materials for the secondary market, and the substantial reduction of residues.”
This emblematic project, owned by the Unified Solid Waste Management Association of the Municipalities and Communities of the Prefecture of Larissa, and funded by the Operational Programme ‘Transport Infrastructure, Environment and Sustainable Development 2014–2020’ as well as by the Association’s own resources, will serve the needs of 280,000 permanent residents while delivering significant environmental and developmental benefits.
We continue to support the regional economy, to strengthen the sustainability of our region, and to generate added value for local communities.
