The contract concerns the construction of a Solid Waste Treatment Plant (SWTP) with a total capacity of 50,592 tons of residual mixed waste per year, as well as the construction of a Pre-sorted Organic Fraction Treatment Plant with a capacity of 15,200 tons per year.

The organic fraction, derived from non-separated organics, will be used for the production of secondary fuel (solid recovered fuel, SRF) and will undergo drying treatment to reduce its moisture content.

  • Reception Area for sorted organic waste and greens.
  • Mechanical Preprocessing Unit for Sorted Organics.
  • Aerobic Composting Unit for Sorted Organics.
  • Refining (Compost) Unit.
  • Maturation Unit.
  • Compost Storage Shed.
  • The installation is equipped with a deodorization and dust removal system, as well as all necessary infrastructure works.

Since the SWTP includes a distinct line for processing sorted organic municipal waste, high-quality compost is produced through the biological treatment of these materials.

The installation consists of the following sub-units:

  • Weighing Unit – Guardhouse, for weighing and recording incoming and outgoing waste collection vehicles and trucks.
  • MSW Reception Area.
  • Mechanical Preprocessing – Sorting Unit.
  • Biological Treatment Unit – Bio-drying.
  • Secondary Solid Fuel Management Unit – SRF Production.
  • Product Storage Shed.
